Drug Elimination

Where?

Drugs are eliminated by excretion unchanged through the kidneys, or by metabolism to an inactive product, usually in the liver.

The fraction excreted unchanged (fe) defines the degree of renal elimination, while (1-fe) describes the degree of metabolic elimination.

Adjust the fe using the slider to see the relative contribution of renal and hepatic elimination.
